For those looking for a great playing and wonderful sounding vintage Gibson, this is it. Like a comfortable and worn pair of old boots, this 57 Country Western has the feel of a guitar that has been lived-in, played, and worn to a state where she just feels right. Lots of finish checking throughout, worn areas around the pick guard and sound hole, wear to the back of the neck and to the guitar's back side, there is a good bit of'divoting' to the frets - but they work just as they are! - there are impressions around the tuner posts on the front of the headstock from washers that were on the guitar at one point, but she has a new set of kluson style tuners with white plastic tips.

This CW features the larger pick guard style, nice full mahogany neck, mahogany back and sides, and X-braced spruce top. Sonically, this old Country Western is nice and loud and full and crisp sounding, but has a nice intimate quality to it, as well, and responds exceptionally well to fingerpicking as well as strumming.
