ANOTHER GREAT ROLEX WATCH FIND FROM ANTIQUETIMEONLINE! A GORGEOUS RARE CIRCA 1920 GENUINE QUALITY RARE ROLEX ALD DENNISON CASED GOLD PLATED HALF HUNTER ENGLISH POCKET WATCH WITH A GENUINE ROLEX LEVER SIGNED FULLY SERVICED MOVEMENT.

This is an absolutely beautiful 4 piece genuine 10CT gold plated HALF HUNTER watch case. The case is in good original condition, showing normal age related wear, a light ding just above 3 o'clock on the bezel and some light normal wear micro scratches to the case back. All in all though the case is in good condition.

Both the front and the rear of the case are hinged. When the crown is pushed in it allows the front to flip open. All front and interior glasses are present. The inside of the case is stamped with marks for ALD (Dennison) who were the UK suppliers of Rolex cases for the Swiss imported Rolex movements at this time. The case measures 5.0cms (50mm) across.

It is of excellent quality and a good weight as you would expect. This is a lovely bright white dial.

It is unsigned which is correct for this period (Rolex did not start putting their name on dials until 1923) The dial is in EXCELLENT condition and is showing no damage that I can see. All of the black painted Roman numerals are sharp. The dial has a nice black painted outer minute track. The dial has 2 golden steel hands are in very good condition. The interior case crystal is original and is made from glass and the bezel glass is plastic and is a brand new replacement.

As such is in excellent condition. This is a NICE 100% GENUINE ROLEX LEVER excellent grade quality jeweled lever Swiss movement. It is FULLY signed on the mainspring barrel wheel.

This lovely movement is in good working order and has been SERVICED at substantial cost to me by my watch maker. The winding stem is a little worn and the crown needs to be pushed inwards to wind the watch but it winds smoothly and sets as it should. All in all this is a beautiful original movement.

The watch keeps time to within a couple of mins a day as tested over a 24 hour period. Please do not expect accuracy from a circa 98 year old timepiece.

The crown is gold in color and is the'onion' shaped original. THIS IS A LOVELY ROLEX HALF HUNTER POCKET WATCH AND IS A REALLY GREAT ITEM! I describe all of my items to the best of my knowledge.
