This is lovley item own or to give as specail gift. Diameter: 13 cm at the base. Rare bronze from the second half of the 19th century forming an empty pocket representing the devil's pot or if you prefer a devil in the pot. The finely detailed and chiseled devil with a mischievous air sticks his head and hands out of a large cauldron under which a wood fire is lit. The lid is composed of the head and hands of the devil whose large bat wings make up the rounded shape.The interior forming an empty pocket is decorated with a removable golden brass receptacle. The whole rests on a beautiful grooved red marble plinth. The set is in very good condition with a very beautiful patina. A rare bronze forming an empty pocket with a humorous subject. 22 cm high at the handle of the cauldron and 13 cm in diameter at the base.
