This extremely rare ARC lantern was found locally last week. Please let the photos be your guide as the best description. A few small screws that keep the top aligned (these could be found at any hardware store). The nut on top that holds the vent down.
I can't test the fount integrity without a fuel cap, but I added denatured alcohol and let it sit overnight with no leaks. These typically have a bolt on the bottom that is soldered in place; the solder job on bottom looks sloppy on this one and has green paint over it making me wonder if it was resoldered or epoxied or perhaps the paint was a rust preventive primer. There is something rattling inside the tank which may be rust; when I rinsed it and shook it out a few pieces of rust as well as a screw fell out, but I couldn't get it all out of the fuel hole. The top of the fount and most of the lower frame appear to have what looks like silver paint on them; while I did not remove the collar or burner base it looks like someone did in the past as they were not painted when the frame was. This will be a great project or display item for the winner! Please ask if you have any questions or need details. This will be securely packaged and insured.
