Rare Antique Ladies Davenport Portable Mahogany Secretary Desk (Circa 1890-1910)

Hinged top and front drop-down open to a secretary desk with mirror and shelf. Bottom compartment provides spacious storage area. Overall dimensions of unit (when closed) are 29 wide x 16 deep x 41.5 high.

Sturdily constructed of solid mahogany wood. Davenport desks were designed back in the day to withstand travel on the rough seas. This rare find is a great conversation piece with beautiful styling and carved wood details.

Key lock on desk is fully functional and includes key. Nice condition with age appropriate wear and use. Gold leaf paint inside secretary exhibits some peeling.
