Rare Antique Original Russel Wright Spun Aluminum Bun Warmer or Ice Bucket
Early modernist spun aluminum vessel with tilting lid designed by Russel Wright. Originally marketed as a combination bun warmer, ice bucket, and fruit bowl. An example of this seldom seen and very rare piece can be found in the Brooklyn Museum's holdings of early design.

The inside dimensions are approximately 9 1/2" diameter and outside diameter is about 10 1/4" wide from handle to handle. Measures about 9 1/4 tall.

Very nice overall condition with just some minute scratches to the exterior and interior of the aluminum, which is consistent with the age of this piece. There are not any dents. There is some dark spots on the bottom, likely was something just stuck on there (see photos).

This is right from a quality estate and I have left it as is, without trying to clean. The handle and ball knob is made of a cane or bakelite material and in excellent condition. The lid swivels open and closes. Etched marked on the bottom: Russel Wright. Please take a look at the video that I have provided. This will allow you to see all rotating sides of this rare piece.
