Please feel free to make an offer. A Rare Antique or Early Vintage Arrow.
I display it as an ornament as it has a Sculptural type Quality. It looks great in both a modernist or contemporary home. It's the largest arrow I have it's almost like a small throwing spear but please do your own research.
The hardwood shaft is waxed & polished with a nice historical patina. It's very tactile & feels good in the hand.
The handmade steel arrow head is quite pitied & corroded. There's also an intricate twist in it.
The first part of the shaft is rounded but after the central braiding it's squared off. I was told that it was a Poison Arrow but please do your own research as I don't know if this is true or just wishful thinking. But it's clearly a very nice quality handmade item. It's not a reproduction or modern. I have seen similar items to this in the British Museum collection. Approx 20 1/2 long in total. The mahogany base is probably from the 1950's & is approx 9 1/2" by just under 2" by 2 3/4 tall. The price includes the display base. In expected used condition for an item of this age & nature. Please study the images as they also form part of the description & please do your own research. 8 in total & they are all different & interesting in their own way.
