RARE Antique (guaranteed to be old and original) Signed F&B / for Foster and Bailey Sterling silver Puffed heart Perfume locket /container with raised /hand chased /engraved scroll design with Crown on top Sometimes these were also called a Silver Love Token Box and crowned example where often given as an engagement token of love, presented a future bride by her groom to be Puffed heart has a hinged top which opens to reveal a large compartment which can be used to keep scents, treasures or even cremation ashes This heart has a engraved initials MEC on front side and back is plain so has a place to engrave initials.
Dates mid to late 19th century Marked F&B Sterling Measurements : Measures 2 inches x 1 1 /2 inches max width Weighs 11.5 grams on my weighing scale. Condition : Considering it age (more then 100 years old) I will say its in good antique condition with minor age related wear Top opens and closed securely Few dings and few a small crack near the point wear crown and heart is connected (photo attached) its till nice and sturdy One of the crown leaf is missing its top (not very noticeable) Originally it probably had gold gilding , only traces of gold gilding can be found that too mostly on inner side of pendant.
