It's solid wood with a wooden veneer cover on the top. The back of the cabinet and the inner parts of the drawers are metal. (See pics) It has 54 drawers. The cabinet is 4' 1" tall, 2' 10" deep and 1' 3 across. The drawers are 10" x 13" x 2.
Four of the drawers have the small metal handles missing, and 1 of them is off but still there, inside the drawer. The label on the top says 11. The number 11 is for one of the original gauges that was created and developed by Robert D. Hickok for his company, Hickok Electrical Instrument Company. Inside one of the drawers, a diagram of the Model 11 gauge was found.
It was an AC Ammeter. The date of the diagram is June 3, 1932. Local pick-up only at Hickok Waekon in Cleveland, OH.
