Its also deeply carved, and over-sized as many masks from Sri Lanka typically are. Bright Indian yellow and dark green. The eye-cut-outs further reinforce any suspicions of this piece's cultural accuracy.
Bright, beautiful, and cosmetically stunning. Some of the original twine seemingly remains. A strong galvanized wire has been attached years ago. Some obvious signs of previous powder post beetles. This mask has gone through 3 days of -15 Fahrenheit weather here in Maine since as a precaution.
