Rare Georgian Natural Colombian Emerald And Diamond Giardinetti Antique Ring

RARE GEORGIAN NATURAL EMERALD AND DIAMOND FLOWER GIARDINETTI RING. The style know as Giardinetti included brooches, pendants, earrings and rings in the shape of branche, bouquets, pots or baskets of flowers. The motif originated in Italy and spread throughout Europe in the mid 18th Century.

Every piece represents a small piece of evergrowing history of art as this glorious rare natural emerald and diamond Giardinetti ring from Georgian era. Here flower design was captured in miniature in colorful and delicate openwork setting with a meaningful conformation of a pansy and a beautiful pointed daisy, perhaps a love message exchanged. Displayed here are two diamond set pansies sparkling with twelve between old cuts and rose cut diamonds totaling approx. 82 Ct by spread set foiled and closed back, blooming next to each other.

Between the two sparkling flowers, a vivid green bud or a small leaf set with an antique marquise cut natural emerald of approx. 19 Ct, its stem intertwining with a larger leaf gem set with nine antique cut natural emeralds set closed back and totaling approx. Crafted in artful composition in the light delicate Rococo design echoing the floral patterns of fashionable flowers, with lovely details on the back of the mounting, were the gilding is slighlty fainting for the passing of time. Artfully crafted in 18 Kt yellow gold and silver by a master goldsmith during 18th Century.
