This wonderful young lady poupee peau is by a very rare maker of Parisian luxury dolls Louis Doleac who made them for prestigious Paris shops. These dolls were made in small numbers during 1870/72 and consequently demand high prices. Here is your chance to get one for very reasonable price due to the fact she has a extremely fine hairline across her face.
I have taken close-ups of her face for you to see but in real life this hairline is barely noticeable due to it being so fine and her face so small. She is only13 tall and her head is only 2 long. For this reason she is priced at less than half her perfect value.
Her leather body which has no gussets is in excellent clean condition , no splits leaks or repairs. She is marked 1 on her head and LD on her left shoulder. She has her original cork pate and original hand knotted mohair wig.
Her ears are pierced and she has her original earrings. Her bulbous eyes are beautiful blue with a darker blue rim and she has a pressed bisque head which is beautifully painted giving her a gentle expression. She wears a gorgeous cream silk dress by award winning couturier Jean Jackson of French-doll-costumes. Her outfit with the exception of her handmade straw hat and leather shoes have been made from all antique fabrics and trims, her underwear - half petticoat and drawers are antique as are her beautiful lacy knit stockings.
