Rare Condition 1970's Heuer Autavia GMT Pepsi Bezel Chronogra ph Watch Ref 2446c. These Rare Watches Do Not Come Up for Sale Very Often As They Are Snapped Up As Future Investment Pieces.
Original and not repainted or refinished - Beautiful unmarked Black which changes along with the light. White AUTAVIA logo under the 12 o'clock position. White HEUER logo under the 12 o'clock position.White GMT Lettering under the 12 o'clock position. Minute scale around the inside of the dial with white second markers plus white fraction markers in-between Plus Red 5 second markers. Small dial in white at the 3 o'clock position with a black needle hand which is for the chronograph minutes up to 30. Small white dial at the 6 o'clock position with a black needle hand which is for the chronograph hours up to 12.
Small white dial at the 9 o'clock position with a black needle hand which is the small second hand. White Needle Chronograph second hand currently settled at 12 o'clock start position plus luminous silver and red tipped minute and hour hands. Red Needle GMT Counter hand with luminous white Triangle tip. Luminous batons at each 5 minute position (except for 3 o'clock 6'o'clock & 9'o'clock).
Small "SWSS" logo written in black inside the small dial at the 6 o'clock position. The Iconic "Pepsi" bezel remains in excellent condition and does have a few age related marks. The bezel rotates without making a clicking noise and is still tight fitting. There are silver numbers counting from 1 to 24 inside the bezel changing from blue to red halfway between the 6 position and also the 18 position. CASE / CASE BACK & GLASS. The stainless steel case is in excellent condition with few signs of wear and few marks. There are two silver chronograph pushers either size of the HEUER crown - there is little wear to the pushers or crown. The higher chronograph pusher starts and starts the chronograph and the lower chronograph resets the chronograph.The acrylic crystal glass remains unmarked when looked at with the naked eye. The casing contains the correct serial number and reference numbers between the lugs and are easily seen.
Please note that this watch has not been tested for being waterproof so I would not recommend taking it anywhere near water. HEUER Leonidas Reference Valjoux 724 manual wind movement movement one of the most reliable made in Switzerland. This watch is keeping accurate time and the functions are working. A free New Stainless steel Generic strap has been added to the watch. The strap and buckle are brand new but are not original to the watch - ie from 1970.
