Native American Chalkware Statue Marked Year 1909. Information I have gathered state these were made by/for The Ohio Match Co. This is a beautiful Chalkware statue of a Native American laying down with the'peace pipe'. He's using his arm to prop himself partially up, while crossing his legs. He is wearing a full headdress, with vibrant coloring.
There is a scarf coming off of the pipe, with arrows and other detailed designs on it. There's a medalion around the neck, and mocasins on his feet.
The face has great detail and looks very realistic. The piece is in overall good condition, with the normal wear and tear and for it's age. The dimensions are roughly 24" long, 7" wide, and 12 high.
This piece would be a great display piece or addition to any Native American collection! Appears there was a small chip on a shoe where someone colored it and some minor areas of wear on the sitting surface as expected. Overall FANTASTIC shape, never seen another in this condition!
