A new black crocodile skin leather strap and stainless Rolex buckle has been fitted and it comes in the vintage Rolex box as seen in the photographs. Comes with genuine vintage Rolex box. MEASUREMENTS: End of lug to end of lug height is 41mm, width is 37mm incl. DIAL - the black dial with gold markers is a really nice feature of this particular watch. The dial is in excellent condition with no noticeable discolouration or other patina, its hard to take a photograph of a black dial without light reflections so please ignore shine and various light reflections you can see in the close up face-on photograph between 12-3. CASE - is stainless steel, and as per photographs shows minor age/use related wear/scratches/marks/scuffs but no major damage.
Inner case back is correctly Rolex marked, and both the model number and serial number can be seen on the inside of the lugs. MOVEMENT - the Rolex 6427s are known for being a robust watch, the movement is manual wind 17 Jewel movement that is running at +25s/day on flat with details as per Timegrapher analysis photograph. Being a Rolex Oyster the crown is screw down so you unscrew the crown to wind it, it has a really nice positive feeling when winding one of these.
CROWN - is very nice, with the Rolex crown brand marking on it. CRYSTAL - is good overall, however there is 1 small nick on the edge of the crystal near the 4 oclock, I didnt really notice it when using the watch but in full disclosure there is a nick on the edge there. BOX - is in only fair vintage condition, it has age/use marks and wear all over it but still works fine. It does not come with any interior cushion or stand, only the box itself.
STRAP - It has been fitted with a new black genuine crocodile skin leather strap along with a new buckle as per photographs. Changing a strap on this watch is very easy to do, they are designed for changing with convenient holes through the lugs. You could easily change it to one of your taste later if desired, the lugs are 19mm and buckle is 16mm.
As per as all vintage watches, no guarantee on its operation or timekeeping can be given and Id recommend you have it serviced after you receive it so it can give you many more years of worry free service (and things like its water resistance can be re-checked).
