Shield piece is Inscribed: US WATERVLIET ARSENAL. End of Breech Piece Inscribed: PAT'D AUG 1905. There is an End Cap with 5 holes in it on the end of the barrel which is removable (pulls off). Condition: Please look at all photos, and ZOOM in... Decide cosmetic condition for yourself.. When you pull the knob back, it doesn't spring right back quickly, so if this is supposed to be functional (and I don't know if it is), you may need to clean that part or replace the spring inside of it.
